To get the ball rolling and start ingraining this new account with its fans, the first order of business sought feedback on players' top concerns or changes they would want to see with the game. The TWAB post mentions that the Destiny 2 community can still go to the social media accounts of some of its other social media managers if they already know them, but the bulk of the correspondence going forward will be intended to run through this new account. In the "This Week At Bungie" (TWAB) post announcing this new account, Bungie said it aims to use Destiny2Team accounts on Twitter, Reddit, and the forum page where members of the Destiny 2 team can directly speak with players. This move is assumed to help manage the stress that comes with community relations and a considerable spike in developer abuse in recent times. The new Bungie Community manager account, Destiny2Team, will be run by numerous community managers at once, sharing a load of community interactions, while being somewhat anonymous. After his departure from the company in 2022, some would wonder who would step into that community role next. For years, Destiny 2 players have seen communication on the game by dmg04 who was both informative and fun to engage with on Twitter. Interacting with the community is a delicate and necessary tool for video game developers. Multiple people will run this new account that will directly share the weekly TWAB Destiny 2 Community posts, share game updates and other notices, and harvest feedback from members of the community on Twitter.
